You might have heard of so many coding competitions but Code Craft isn’t just another. This is Sri Lanka’s first ever nation-wide hunt for the best secure coder. The competition is organized by CICRA – Sri Lanka’s pioneering cyber security training and consultancy organization – and the Daily FT. The competition is conducted through an internationally-renowned testing platform of the International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council), USA.

How does it work?
The competition is of 3 stages. Namely;
- Preliminary round
- Semi – final
- Grand Finale
The preliminary round consists of 100 multiple choice questions based on basics of secure programming to be completed within 120 minutes. Top 10% candidates will be selected for the semi-final round.
In the semi-final round, 75 multiple choice and scenario based questions will be given to be completed within 75 minutes. You think it’s tough? Guess what? You will be given the option to choose questions! How cool is that? Then the top 10% candidates will be selected for the final round.
Then comes the final round. Here, you’ll be given 10 scenario based questions to be answered within 60 minutes. Tough? Maybe… But interesting. Since all you have to do is identify the vulnerabilities and create solutions for them.
